Evernote 7.6.5
Whether you’re a creative or a workaholic, someone obsessed with keeping order in their life, or just a regular folk looking to jot down ideas and sync them across devices, Evernote is quite possibly the only tool you’ll ever need.
A UI made of rubber
Its flexible interface is nothing short of amazing. And when I say flexible, I do mean flexible. It literally stretches at the ends whenever you pull it upwards or downwards, giving it a rubbery feel. Another way to put it is it feels like an elastic band.
In both the iPhone and the iPad version every function is perfectly aligned with any kind of workflow you might prefer, the buttons are neatly packed yet at the same time sufficiently spaced out.
The color palette is one of the best things about Evernote. They couldn’t have picked a more zen-inducing green, these people. Such care went into the design of this app, it almost feels as if the developers made Evernote for themselves first, then for the public. But enough about the looks.
One of the best productivity tools you'll ever lay your hands on
Evernote Corp.’s intentions with this app have been clear right from the get go: create a tool that allows people to stay organized and at the same time extend their memory through powerful cognitive search. It even searches for words in pictures, and lets you record your thoughts in any way you want: photos, scans, annotations, audio notes, plain text, all easily grouped in Notebooks with tags, and all sorts of management tools.
The two-pane layout on iPad makes for a brilliant presentation tool, as well as a universal business assistant on the go. And you get to share notes with others and remotely collaborate in real time.
Evernote for iPhone is compressed but equally rich in features. Best of all, regardless of what device you use to save a note, it instantly gets synced across your devices with one tap. Or, if you forget to hit Sync, it happens automatically after a short time.
Chances are you’ve probably figured out what you’re going to use it for, but here are some more examples of where Evernote comes in extremely handy: take class notes, draft agendas and research notes; plan trips (keep track of travel plans, plane tickets, etc.) and save the location where each note was taken; save food recipes, search by ingredients and stay organized.
Furthermore, you can create a task list with the ability to check things off on the move, keep finances (save receipts, bills and contracts), and take snapshots of business cards.
The tool has also received a new way to share and collaborate with people, namely the Work Chat. This will enable you to share notes and notebooks directly via the app and give viewing or editing privileges to people when you share single notes.
The feature allows users to chat with individuals or groups about the things they’re working on, for maximum productivity. You will also get access to a log regarding who viewed and who edited the notes in your account.
Work chat and Premium features
Evernote enables people to send messages and share notes about the things you're working on without even leaving the app. For the Premium version users of the app, there are now some new features, too, such as Context, the feature displays notes, articles and people related to the things you're working on. For instance, you can view related articles from various news sources, or related people from LinkedIn.

Bottom Line
Design / UI10
Strictly visually speaking, it’s pretty hard to find something wrong with Evernote. And since we’re not trying to pick a hole in its coat, Evernote gets max score here! [applause] |
Function9
Same as the UI, Evernote’s feature set is flawless. If anything, it’s got too many. |
Security6
The paid version offers enhanced security. Since when are developers allowed to compromise on security when it comes to the free version of their app? Not okay, Evernote. |
Battery9
Highly optimized for all of Apple’s iDevices, Evernote performs brilliantly in this sector as well. |
Price8
Evernote advertises its app as free, though its full feature set is behind a wall of monthly / annual subscriptions, while the app itself comes with ads to Evernote accessories and even third-party stuff. |
Compatibility8
Evernote is committed to supporting iOS 7.0, which is certainly a good approach, but this also leaves out the iOS 6 camp (and even those below iOS 6). |
Quite possibly the best notepad app out there
