Clarify 1.2.1.1
Digital helpers are available in great numbers and Windows Phone users are fortunate enough to have at their disposal an application like Clarify, which is designed to handle text and voice input equally easily.
Smooth looks for a simple interface
The application comes with a neat interface, that is quite pleasant to look at and also a breeze to use, thanks to a well organized layout. All the commands are at hand, easy to access at all times.
The light color scheme and decent graphics are consistent all through the app, while moving around the different section of the utility is carried out without major impediments.
The information is fetched promptly from online resources and it presented in a clear manner, so you can read all the details with no difficulties.
Straightforward configuration and operation
The main purpose of this application is to provide translations as quickly and as accurately as possible and Clarify seems to be well prepared or this. Currently, there are less than 30 languages waiting to be selected and the "auto-detect" feature can also be put to good use as it is ready from the first run.
The utility will provide all the dictionary definitions for the selected languages inside the same screen and you can scroll through the results to pick the ones you are interested in and view more about each of them with one tap on the corresponding button.
From the "Settings" area of the app you can check out the available dictionaries for the selected languages and also make any modifications to the language selection you made at the first launch.
Text translations and extra options at a glance
Clarify provides a basic translation module where you can pick the source language and the target one, or leave the source on "Auto-Detect" mode to have the app figure out the origin and make the interlingual rendition happen.
The application supports text input, but its greatest asset should be the text to speech engine, which would make it very easy for you to learn the correct pronunciation in the supported languages. Unfortunately, this feature appears to be faulty and will not function as it should on certain handsets.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The application has a neat interface, well polished and with a smooth look to it, despite some minor drawbacks concerning the navigation among the various sections. |
Function7
The feature set is decent, but some functions fail to work properly, while some options present in most similar apps are missing from this one. |
Security10
Without touching any secure area of the system, this utility minds its business and manages to earn top points here. |
Battery4
While using Clarity the power consumption is very high because the app remains connected to the Internet at all times, to access the online translation resources. |
Price10
A pretty valuable tool and resource for translations, this freebie application is well worth at least a try. |
Compatibility8
Those who want to give Translator Pro a go should try it only on Windows Phone 8.1 and above devices. |
