Pixable 4.7.4

Pixable sorts through your social networks for pics and videos
Your social network feeds are probably full of content that you don’t really care about, hundreds of articles you don’t want to read, status updates you care nothing for and so on. Basically, there’s a lot of white noise that you might want to avoid.

If that’s the case, then an app like Pixable could be of quite some help because it filters down the stream of information quite a bit. Mostly, it will display what you need to see that day, be it photos, videos or cute articles. Don’t expect, however, to see any serious news pieces in there, but rather puppies, kittens and people doing stupid things, as well as entertainment news.

Go through all the content

The app comes with a pretty busy interface. Even so, it’s fairly easy to navigate thanks to the tabs at the top of the page. There, you can check the latest news articles, but also to get access to the “Me & My Friends” tab where you can check out the most recent things posted by your friend. The app provides several lists such as the top of the day, the most popular posts from yesterday, the top of the week posts and top of the month, as well as some grouping together all the new profile pics.

If you don’t like the way the app has categorized this content, you can pick and choose which ones the app should display by adding and removing feeds.
The Explore tab helps you discover new content that you’ll most certainly love to see, whether it’s funny pictures and videos, food-related pics, cats, dogs, cars, sports and so on. Here, too, you can add more feeds about various topics.

Easier access

From the side menu, you can check out more content, including news and, as well as further content from your own social media accounts. It’s not just Facebook you can add, either, but also Twitter and Instagram.

From the same location you can check your own content. The app will go through your account and tell you how many photos you have, show you photos in which you were tagged, as well as any photos you’ve uploaded from your phone, or any on your timeline, as well as any albums you’ve created.

All in all, this is a nice app, but it does depend on how much you trust an app that will sort through your social network content.
