News reader apps are all you need to sort through articles and read only what interests you the most. Pixable is one of such apps, but with a strong social networking component. It makes it easy to read all sorts of reports and share them with friends instantly.
Sleek interface with plenty of features
Although the app doesn't come with instructions, the interface makes it easy to access sections that seem appealing and to search for articles that interest you the most.
Users can register with their Facebook account or email address, in order to share content faster. It comes with a side menu where you can access the many sections of the app and a toolbar with access to settings and the rating system.
The latter is a nice way to go through information fast and to sort your feed by simply liking/disliking cards with articles. You can also view the cards you've liked in the summary section.
Explore various articles
The app has two main sections, one with the latest articles and one in which you can explore the most liked reports. You can check out reports on animals, art and culture, entertainment, sci-tech and travel.
Simply tap on one to open and read articles. You can share them instantly on Facebook and Twitter or any other social network. Scroll by sliding left or using the icon on top of the screen.
The explore section is filled with many more categories of articles including sports, celebs and food. But they're featured on cards and the app opens your browser in order to display the whole article.
Save images to your phone or start a slideshow
The section also lets you save pictures to your phone or start a slideshow. You can adjust the speed with which articles are changed and you can favorite them. You can also download pictures to your phone and have access to them whenever you wish.
In addition, you can set live wallpapers with pictures from a certain section of the app. Adjust the update interval and use images from the app as wallpapers on your phone. All in all, it's a nice app to find content that you can share with friends or pictures to save on your phone. In addition, it lets you save articles for offline access.
