Kamcord 3.4.0
Provided that your game has support for recording the on-screen action for later sharing (so far there are only a few), Kamcord can turn you into an Internet sensation.
Watch gameplay
Kamcord has one of the simplest and most relevant UIs for a video service yet. It has but only a few tabs and buttons here and there, with the videos taking up most of your display (as it should be). You get like and comment buttons, a view count... and that’s pretty much it. Oh, the tabs at the bottom are the app’s various services: vids, a list of supported games, search, and your profile.
There are also come cool badges for your featured videos, as well as notifications when people follow you, like or comment on your videos. Offensive videos can be reported easily, while the same ability is also extended to users who cross the line. The app further allows users to chat with their followers, putting another spin on the social aspect of the app. For those who are interested, it even offers them the opportunity to group chat, but also to host AMAs if they so desire.
Doesn't require an account
One thing we’d like to mention right off the bat, Kamcord does not (I repeat, does NOT) require an account in order to watch videos. That’s pretty cool, considering how social networks today will do anything to grab your email and friends list.
With that out of the way, Kamcord does exactly what you’d expect: play videos recorded by others from their gameplay sessions. There are millions of videos to watch, so you’ll never be bored, and it would be great if more games would support it. If you create an account, you can like and comment on videos, as well as share your own using clever captions.
Careful what you upload
It collects some data from you, but nothing too major. It doesn’t seem to pose any serious privacy risks. But be careful what you upload. The good thing is you can enjoy the vids without even creating an account. In other words, you have total control over your experience.

Bottom Line
Design / UI9
Good design and an even better approach to video discoverability. |
Function9
It doesn’t shove “things you might like” down your throat, and lets you get acquainted with the service at your own pace.. Not many social networks remember that these days. Oh, and the service itself is just awesome! Endless fun! |
Security8
Collects some data, but nothing too major. But be careful what you upload, and you should be fine |
Battery7
Drains a fair amount of juice. It’s a video service, what are you going to do about it? |
Price9
We can’t give it max score because it promotes other apps with links to the app store. But otherwise you don’t have to view any ugly ads or make in-app purchases. It’s essentially 100% free. |
Compatibility8
iOS 7 and upwards supported, no iPad version. |
We're not sure the 12+ age rating is in check
