Creating cool pictures is something that we all try to do. Putting together fun videos, however, is something that most people consider to be a bit too difficult. With modern tools, however, this can be just as easy and fun as any other activity.

Mindie is an iOS app that helps you do just that – create cool videos in a few extremely easy steps.

The tool allows you to shoot ten second music videos, complete with music, filters and effects. As you kick things off, the app lets you follow some users so you can get a feel about how the app works and what you can get out of it.You can take things a step further by connecting with Facebook, or Twitter to get access to your friends’ mindies. You may even allow the app to search through your contacts for other people who may be using Mindie.

All the videos posted by the ones you’ve followed can be scrolled through by swiping upwards on the screen. You may see what song they’ve chosen and maybe even hit the heart button if you liked the video.

The app enables you to shoot videos in fast motion, normal or slow motion. You’ll have to hold the button to record, which means you can put together stop motion videos if you so desire.

The music is up next and you can select from a series of tracks, including new songs. Since you’ll only be using ten seconds from the tracks, which you can select by moving the soundwave from side to side. Some additional settings, allow you to turn on the flash, set a timer and display a grid.

Personalzie your video

Mindie also enables you to add text to the video, such as a title, describing what you’re filming. Adding in some filters is also possible by simply swiping the screen. It’s then possible to save the video to your Camera Roll and send it off to friends and users.

This is a pretty fun app to use and it offers some nice features to customize your work. The app could use a few more filters, but in the end it’s a free tool so these will have to do. You should definitely give it a try and see if it suits your needs.
