Fetchnotes - Shared Notes, Reminders & To Do List 3.2.1
Fetchnotes wants to offer a much simpler and more reliable way to keep track of notes, reminders, and to do-s. It also lets you stay in sync with the people that matter to you, and collaborate with them on these tasks.
Great design inside and out
Fetchnotes is a very attractive note taking app that starts off with a brief guide on what you can do with it, and then whisks you into the main UI to start jotting down ideas, reminders, and pretty much anything you can think of.
The beauty of Fetchnotes lies in its abilities, but the graphics used throughout the app make it very appealing and not at all boring (like most apps of this kind).
Organize everything with hashtags
Its purpose isn’t defined by any key function, but here’s what the app can do. You can use hashtags, like #music, #quotes, #ideas, #blog, or #link, to stay organized, as well as the hashtag #todo to instantly create a reminder.
The reminder function is actually kind of brilliant. You simply mention a time in a note, like “buy batteries this afternoon,” and Fetchnotes magically creates a reminder around 3PM with that task. The beauty of it is that you don’t need to scroll through time-pickers anymore.
You can share stuff with others by simply @mentioning them. Fetchnotes finds that person in your address book and contacts them with your ideas.
Notes with hashtags like #book, #music and other stuff that can be bought offline are assigned product suggestions, like a music album that you might like, or a nice book to buy off Amazon. So far Fetchnotes hasn’t been too flexible in this area, but it’s a nice touch nonetheless.

Bottom Line
Design / UI9
Spectacular-looking for a simple note taking app. What are we saying here? It’s not a simple app at all. |
Function9
The hashtag feature + the smart reminders are enough to sell anyone on this productivity tool. |
Security9
Fetchnotes isn’t entirely local, but the developers promise that even with access to your contacts they won’t bulk upload that information to their servers. |
Battery8
Fetchnotes is easy on the battery and doesn’t drain too much power during usage. |
Price9
While it’s fully free of charge to use indefinitely and without restrictions, it suggests buying things off Amazon.com. |
Compatibility9
Requires iOS 6 and upwards and is available for iPad as well. |
It feels like it’s reading your mind.
