Cookpad Recipes 4.3
Cookpad Recipes is an app that will make your life easier, however. With entries from users all over the world, the app sports some 150,000 recipes, as the devs boast. Of course, you won’t exactly be getting chef-level recipes, but you’ll be getting things that you can actually cook without spending a fortune for a dish.
Easy to use
The app’s interface is pretty simple and doesn’t require too much skill to understand. The homepage is full of recipes divided into a grid, with a photograph showing off the end-result. These are mixed in together from all kinds of meals, but you can get more specific ideas by tapping on the globe icon in the top right corner. There, you’ll be able to check out dishes based on the course you’re making, visit popular dishes, baked goods, world cuisine, beverages and recipes that will take into consideration specific dietary issues. Each category holds several subcategories to better direct you to the right place.
The recipes come with photographs and full instructions. The ingredients list can be added to a shopping cart, which you can edit before saving, taking out things that you already have in your pantry. Users can tap the “heart” button to favorite a recipe, but they can also add their own photos if they’ve cooked the dish, leave a review or ask the cook a question.
Add your own recipes
What’s cool about the app is that you can add your own recipes to the mix via the composer. Remember you’ll need to be specific enough so others can follow your instructions.
There’s even a forum where you can go and talk about cooking a bit longer, as well as a navigation history if you want to go back to a recipe you forgot to add to your favorites list and can’t remember the name for.
The rather annoying part of this app is that you’ll have to log in with either Google or Facebook if you want to have access to several features.
