Alarm Clock Free for iOS 8 - Best Alarm Clocks with Wake Up Music 2.7

Alarm clock apps normally offer more than just a clock display. Some offer multiple color variations, others let you switch between various clock faces, some have weather utilities built in them, others have even more add-ons, such as flashlight, compass, etc.

Awesome clock faces

Apalon Apps’ Alarm Clock Free has it all. Like most clock apps, it has a weather display (which uses location services to give you accurate forecasts), as well as multiple clock faces. However, when we say clock faces, we don’t mean just different variations / colors of the same digital display. No suree bob, we mean real, genuine clock faces, including Ultrasonic, Retro, Wordy, Odometer, ThinLine, and C-Motion. Check out the screenshots for to make an idea.

Great utilities

The built-in weather utility isn’t something to get too excited about. As noted above, almost all clock apps have one. But this app has an extra: a flashlight utility that goes off of you double tap the display.

Extensive Settings, too many ads

The Settings menu is intricate and long. There you can select your preferred wake up tone, including music from your own library, things like temperature scale (Fahrenheit / Celsius), sleep timers, the alarm list, and much more.

One thing we don’t like about this app (and that goes for most titles by Apalon Apps) is that the ads are relentless and the nag screens keep coming and coming. It’s one thing to ask the user to consider rating your app, it’s another altogether to display a different prompt every time the user launches the app. Not to mention the ever-present ad banner at the bottom, and the in-app purchase encouragement to remove it.
