The Guardian 3.1.2.39
Sleek and refined UI
There's nothing chunky about the interface. It comes in the much popular Android style, but was well organized as to provide quick shortcuts to all essential tools and arrange articles neatly so users would have quick access to them. The app opens with plenty of instructions, so you'd learn how to navigate quickly in a matter of seconds.
Use your Facebook or Google+ account to sign and benefit from all the perks of using The Guardian app. After you've signed in you may add extra sections to your home page, as many as you like. You will be able to set alerts for breaking news or choose the edition, from UK, US or Australian.
Read various articles offline
The app grants users access to many articles on various topics including world events, lifestyle, business and travel. You can add sections or look up sections, topics or contributors who wrote articles for the newspaper.
The menu has a quick download icon for when you want to get content for offline reading. Actually, you can set the app to automatically download articles only when WiFi connection is available, in order to save precious mobile data.
Save articles for later or share them with friends
Any article can be saved for later reading or shared on social networks. In addition, you can quickly change text size or comment on articles. The app also comes with its famous crosswords section, but to gain access you must become a Guardian subscriber and pay 3.82$ per month. You'll also get exclusive extracts and previews from Guardian books, premium content and ads would be removed.
