Huffington Post 15.0.51
Fluent interface with surprisingly many features
The first thing that you need to do in the app is pick and edition from the ones available. Next the app opens with a home page that includes feeds and all the latest articles featured on the newspaper's website.
The side menu is filled with sections and tools that you can access instantly. A refresh button is displayed on the toolbar, next to the 'hamburger' icon that incorporates settings and the registration page.
Log in or sign up for an account, use your Facebook, Twitter or email address to do so. Registration is needed if you wish to post comments on articles, but you'll need to link your account on the website version.
Browse through various articles
The main page offers plenty of tips to get you started with the app. Each time you hit the home button, the app informs you of new articles that have been posted. You can access articles on many topics, including TV and entertainment, lifestyle, tech and innovation and the section with top articles.
The HuffPost Live section includes videos from shows and interviews on political and world events. Tap on an article to read, you can add comments, bookmark reports or share them on social networks. Some articles even come with videos and the app does a pretty good job at streaming them in HD, but not all of them play.
Download articles for later
Aside from reading high quality content, users can also download favorited articles for later, set notifications for breaking news and have their devices vibrate or sound whenever major events unfold anywhere in the world.
Have the app automatically download content at a certain hour of the day and only via Wi-Fi, so you can read reports on the go wherever you are. Users can also pick from three themes, a light one for day reading, dark and night. Moreover, the font size can be changed and the app comes with two layouts to choose from, grid or list.
