Style Jukebox 1.0.6.3
You could instead keep it in the cloud. Style Jukebox can help you with that, upload and store up to 3,000 songs for free and listen to music in style.
Sleek and truly stylish interface
Not all apps come with a tutorial and it's nice when we come across one that does as it shows that developers have paid special attention to make the app accessible even to inexperienced users. Style Jukebox packs tips and instructions in its sleek interface.
Online registration is obviously needed and you can use your Facebook profile to sign up, but the app will collect a lot of information about your public profile, uploads and likes. It takes a while to register so you must be patient.
Listen to various songs on your phone
The app opens with all songs on your device, you can arrange them alphabetically, by recently played or date added. The side menu lets you access songs, albums and artists, as well as playlists. All you need to do is have the app send you an email with the download link for their Windows or Mac app.
Install it on your computer and add songs to your account. The limit is 250 songs and you can get more space if you recommend the app to your friends. Still, Style Jukebox doesn't let you sync songs from your device, you'll need a computer to add songs to the account. Tracks in an album are sorted by track number.
Works with lock screen
The audio quality is pristine, the app has controls in the lock screen and notification panel and it doesn't come with ads. Still, it's quite limited when it comes to features that it offers. Other than cloud storage, there aren't many tools in this app.
It's missing an equalizer, it doesn't search for artwork and doesn't display lyrics. Still, you can disable the app when using mobile data and have it download songs only on WiFi.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The interface could use an upgrade to make it more appealing to users. |
Function7
It's convenient to have cloud storage for your songs, but it's quite annoying to only be able to upload them from a computer especially since users already created playlists on their phones. |
Security8
It doesn't require many permissions from your phone but does collect a lot of information from your Facebook profile. |
Battery8
It's normal for music player apps to consume more battery than other apps and this one doesn't exaggerate with consumption, so there's nothing to worry about. |
Price9
No ads or purchases, but in order to get more space you'll need to convince a friend to sign up or rate the app on Google Play. |
Compatibility8
The app requires devices running Android version 2.2 or later to work, which makes it accessible to many users. |
It definitely needs some improvements, but it's still worth a try.
