Style Jukebox 1.01

Style Jukebox plays the music you've backed up to the cloud
Listening to music can be done pretty much anywhere, as long as you remember to put your earbuds on when you’re on public transport. For many people music is a way to express themselves, to escape from their problems and so on. That being said, having a trusty music player is essential, whether we’re talking about your home computer, or your smartphone.

Style Jukebox is an app that has been around for a while, a cross-platform solution that makes life easier for all users since it highly relies on the cloud for music playing, which means that you can save a lot of space on your mobile device and that you can listen to any track in your collection while on the go.

Via Cloud

After uploading music to the account via a desktop app, you’re basically set for listening to anything in there whenever you have an Internet connection at hand. You can even download the tracks to store them on your mobile device if you so desire, but you should keep in mind whether you’re using your data plan or a WiFi network. To that extent, there’s a setting inside the app which makes it possible to download content only via WiFi so you don’t end up with an enormous bill at the end of the month.

The app’s interface is pretty simple and straightforward and has (thankfully) received a much needed upgrade just recently.

From the side menu, which is accessible via the famous hamburger button, you can access the tracks on your account. It’s possible to check them out by song name, artists, albums, or playlists, if you have any of those created. At the very bottom of the screen you’ll find the “Downloads” area where you’ll see all the tracks you’ve downloaded to the device.

Log in to enjoy

You have to remember that Style Jukebox is an account-based app so you’ll need to either log in or create an account. If you want, you can choose to pay to gain access to the premium version of the app which allows users to link up to ten devices, instead of just two, to upload up to 25,000 songs, up from just 3,000, including those in FLAC and M4A-ALAC files.

If you’ve hit your device limit, you can adjust that from the app itself after logging in by unlinking any of the devices, so you won’t have to bother visiting your account from the desktop app.

All in all, now that the app has received a much-needed face lift, this is a great option for your everyday musical needs.
