It's a very intuitive application, filled with lots of tools that help users play video files and manage them on their phones. It sports a nice UI, but it could use a more modern design and some additional tools.
Easy-to-use interface that could use an upgrade
The app doesn't come with a tutorial or any kind of instructions, which is quite inconvenient considering that new users like to get some tips when launching a new application. It doesn't require internet connection or online registration in order to use the app.
It doesn't really have material design, but you can access all of its features using the side menu on the left. The app doesn't take long to scan your device and find all sort of videos that you've saved on it. It neat displays them on a list on the home screen, mentioning their size and duration.
Play all sort of media files
It supports various file formats, including mp4, mp4v, mpe, mpeg, mpeg1, mpeg2, mpeg4 for videos and wav, wma, wv, xa, xm for audio. There are some playback options that you can check out directly from the main menu, have the app play videos from the start, as audio or display details.
You can also manage files and delete the ones that you no longer need. It comes with the option of typing in keywords and finding files, sorting them by various criteria or opening MRL. The side menu provides quick shortcuts to video files, audio, directories or your history.
More features and tools
It comes with the option of adjusting settings, you can change the default screen orientation, enable brightness gesture, detect headset and enable the wheel bar. You can add subtitles to your videos or use the sleep timer inside the player mode.
It has the option to adjust video chroma, deblock filter settings or enable hardware accelerated decoding which improves performance but may not work on all devices.
You can also speed up or slow down audio without changing the pitch, but that requires a fast device. Playback speed can be adjusted from the video player, you can jump to a specific time or lock the screen while files are playing.
