Taking photographs is something we all do, especially following the flood of smartphones on the market. Apple’s iPhones have some pretty good cameras on them, which means that you’re likely to take even more shots with these devices since the quality of the images is so high.

Using these photos to create cool posters is a great idea, especially if you’re particularly proud of the results. PosterLabs is an app that seeks to help you out with some pretty cool designs.

Easy as pie

The app has a simple interface that’s very easy to navigate, which means that all new users should find it quite easy to handle it.
As soon as you launch the tool, you’ll find that it provides a quick tour, letting you know about the options you have to create some pretty cool posters. Once you’ve gone through all that, the app opens the doors to all its content.

There are three buttons you can play with. One allows you to create a new poster, while the others give you access to more content. Under Goodies you’ll find additional categories for poster templates that you can download. There are some extra themes that come with multiple templates of their own.

When creating a poster, you can add up to five photographs. Then, if the template permits fewer images, you’ll get to pick and choose. The posters are divided into three large categories – classic, stylish and minimal. Once you pick one of these, you can just move back and forth between the available options, although tapping on the “more” button will give you access to even more content you can download.

Customize it all

The images can be readjusted however you see fit. You can drag and drop them to a different panel and the two pictures will swap places. Tapping on either of them will bring up a series of filters that you can apply on the images, and this is something that you can do for each and every one of them. A long tap on the image enables you to go back to the albums to replace that particular shot, to rotate or flip the image.

There are a few fonts that you can download, but they’ll only be useful if you speak Chinese. You can, however, tap on the text available on the posters and write your own thing.

Once saved, the resulting posters can be shared to various social networks, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Sina Weibo, but not limited to these.
