Post-it® Plus 1.1.2

Post-it notes have been around since the 1970s, a result of an experiment gone wrong, but oh so right. They’ve been used in offices around the world ever since, enabling people to take quick notes and stick them on a board, their desk, computer screens and so on.

For many years, they’ve also been turned into apps on the computer with pretty much the same purpose – allowing users to remember things by virtually sticking them to their desktops. Post-it like apps have been expanded over to mobile devices, and Post-it Plus is one of them, the difference being that this actually comes from 3M, the very same company that actually invented and produces the Post-it notes.

How does it work

Not only does this app enable you to create various notes and stick them to a board, but it also lets you capture an image of the Post-it Notes from your work session. The app will access your camera and let you take a picture of the board you have, scan the image and flag down all the post-its in there. If the app won’t properly detect everything in the image, you’ll just have to double tap the image and show it where there’s a post-it note. The devs boast that the app can capture up to 50 square Post-it notes at a time.

These can then be organized into different boards and arranged however you want to make your life easier.

Create some notes

As mentioned, new notes can also be created. You can either choose one of the pens available there in several colors to write things by hand, or just type it in by tapping on the keyboard icon in the menu ribbon.

Erasing anything you wrote in there, however, is a whole new story since the eraser is conditioned by an in-app purchase worth €0.89 and which also includes a swatch of note background colors.These boards can be shared to PowerPoint, Excel, Dropbox, PDF and more, which will make it easier for others to contribute in a creative way.

Overall, the app looks nice and handles great, but having to pay €0.89 for access to an eraser and a bunch of background colors seems like not such a great deal.
