Blurred Wallpapers Free 1.5
Lets you ne original
There’s nothing like an app that brings out the artist in you. Blurred Wallpapers, as its name implies, lets you select a photo from your library (or take one on the spot), and blur it out, tint it, and make it interesting.
Something as simple as a photo of your feet moving forward as you walk can become a sensational background image with just the right tweaks. Blurred Wallpapers lets you further put your talent to the test and select the same photo as your wallpaper and your lock-screen, and blur out one of them for a cool effect.
Psychedelic colors, nifty patterns
The color palette in Blurred Wallpapers is amazing. There’s a slider at the bottom of the display that lets you control where you want your tint to be going. You’ll lose yourself in the every changing hues.
You can add various patterns to your images, such as overlays that display objects, pets, or actual line patterns that go great with any photo. These act as stickers but don’t obstruct your image too much.
Too many ads and nag screens
We’re no strangers to Apalon’s works, and we’re certainly no strangers to their modus operandi. While we appreciate all their free apps, these do come at a cost nonetheless: countless ad banners and nag screens that’ll make you want to just close the app and delete it.
While we don’t want to cast a bad light on their work, we would suggest toning down these pesky ads a little. Same goes for the rate-us prompts and all those other dialogs that recommend different apps. If the user’s interested, he / she will follow the right path to the other offerings. No need to constantly hit them on the head with these nag screens.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
Blurred Wallpapers looks great and has tons of visual oomph to spice up your iPhone |
Function7
The editing isn’t really intuitive, but you’ll get there eventually. |
Security9
The built-in sharing functions work with social networks. As always, a certain degree of risk is involved if you aren’t careful what you’re sharing and where. |
Battery9
Easy on the battery and doesn’t drain too much power during usage. |
Price7
Too many ads and encouragements to pluck out some cash. But the app itself is free of charge. |
Compatibility9
Low firmware requirement (iOS 6) and works natively with all iDevices. |
That image slider effect is what some would compare to a psychedelic trip (not that we’d know anything about that sort of thing)
