Scroll-thru UI
9GAG for iOS looks a lot like its desktop (web-based) counterpart. It’s just endless scrolling of one funny image after another, but it’s not all fun and games. Sometimes you’ll stumble across a post that will make you cry, or give you goosebumps. Others will cause life-altering thoughts to go through your mind. It’s that powerful.
The five tabs at the bottom hold various 9GAG services, including trending posts, your profile, categories, settings, etc. It’s intuitive like that.
Laugh your rear off, make your own posts
All the liking and sharing tools are built in. You can endlessly scroll for fun, or create your own posts and upload them in seconds via the + (plus) button. Your Funny Collection is where all your upvotes are stored. Sharing can be deemed safe or unsafe.
Sharing content from 9GAG, a feature that was often quite cumbersome, has thankfully been fixed, along with the way comments look, making for an easier process of exploring all the content on the platform.
You don’t need to log in to view posts, but you will need a connection of some sort to like other’s works and share. You can use Facebook for the job, but be careful with your settings.
The rest, as they say, is history. Really, if 9GAG needs any more introduction, then it’s time to get you acquainted with something newer than the Nokia 3310.
The added support for iPhone 6 and 6+ comes in handy for the owners of these devices and makes the app that much more useful overall.
A word about security
Depending on what you do on the network, you may incur unpleasant comments, upsetting posts, etc. Not everything in there is suitable for 12 year-olds (the minimum age requirement), and it integrates with Facebook pretty tightly.
