America's Funniest Home Videos 2.0.0

While some TV shows manage to reach fame early on only to fizzle out and vanish after a few years, there are others that have managed to maintain their fame over the years. One of these shows, one that has been around since 1989 is America’s Funniest Home Videos.

Featuring funny homemade videos submitted by viewers, the show has managed to maintain its fame and to keep people’s interest alive over time
It’s not just on TV where you can have some fun by watching other people do stupid stuff, but also on your phone, while on the go or maybe in your own living room when the show’s not airing and you just want to laugh for a while, take your mind off your daily problems.

Bare bones

The iOS app is pretty simplistic and focuses exactly on what it’s supposed to – the funny videos that will make you laugh. These are arranged in a list, with the videos taking up a large portion of the screen. A short description is displayed underneath, as well as two buttons – one that enables users to share the video on Facebook and one that allows them to add the video to the favorites list, which will make for an easy rewatch at a later time.

As you tap the play button on the videos, the video will go full screen, with the navigation bar at the top, the volume slider at the bottom, next to the control buttons.

The side menu, which is accessible via the hamburger button allows users to check out the favorites, as well as various channels, including winning videos, nominees to the money prize and so on.

Upload your own

You may also use the app to upload your own videos to the app. You can either shoot a video right then and there or select one from the library. You then have to provide various details about the video and yourself, as well as the address before submitting it.

The app is pretty nice, but the design is outdated, which is explainable considering that the app hasn’t been updated in forever. The app goes full screen, but it overlays in a weird way with the top ribbon on the iOS because it’s not optimized for the latest firmware versions.

Even so, it’s a pretty cool tool that you can have some fun with if you like this type of videos.
