HD Audio Recorder 1.2.6
One of such applications is HD Audio Recorder. It has all sort of tools that you can use in order to record audio files and play them back. However, it's a bit simplistic and it could use some more tools.
Simplistic app that even lacks a settings menu
The app doesn't launch with a tutorial, but it does have instructions under the help menu. It shows new users how to record items and manage them on your device. It doesn't use material design, which means that it doesn't have a side menu with access to features.
The interface is nice and makes it easy to navigate inside the app, but it does lack a menu with settings and options. It only has some tips and an about section with information on the app.
Record all sort of audio files
It's quite easy to record files, simply tap on the record icon and the app will start recording surrounding sounds. It displays the duration of your recording on the screen and lets you rename files after the recording is stopped.
All recorded files are displayed on the home screen, the app mentions the date when they were recorded and their size. You can create files of any size you wish, but the more recordings you have the fewer space on your phone.
The app is capable of recording HD audio files, simply tap on the PCM encoding option so the audio file would be in HD. In addition, you can use AAC encoding which takes up less space and is suited for longer durations, but has a lower audio quality.
More features
Batch selection is available, which means that you can send or share audio files, rename them, save as ringtone, increase volume, speed, audio gain, normalize audio and even remove the noise.
The remove noise feature lets you remove unnecessary static noise from your audio file, this static noise may be background noise, your breath, etc. However, removing noise may take some time to process for larger files and the feature doesn't always work, so don't expect much from it.
You can also use the app to increase the audio gain which lets you adjust the gain of your audio file, audio gain is defined as the ratio of signal to noise, so if you increase the gain the audio quality will increase.
