Wheres My Droid 5.2.7
One of the most popular applications is Wheres My Droid. It has lots of features that you can use to locate your phone and snap pictures of people who took it, but you must upgrade to the premium version in order to have access to all of them.
Sleek UI with plenty of features at hand
The app launches with a setup and guide to show users how to access features and adjust settings. The first thing that you need to do is to send a text message to the phone containing one of the attention words. They're words that command the app to enable various features remotely.
You can set words for triggering the ringer, enabling the GPS, cameras, for locking your phone and wiping all information that you've stored on it. Users will be able to find their phones through using the Commander, the web-based interface. It allows them to use a computer to activate all the features inside the app. You'll need to create an account in order to login to the app.
Protect your device
You can have the app trigger the ring feature if you send the text message. You can also have it vibrate when lost or trigger the white noise siren. Flash camera can also be used and you can even choose a custom ringtone and adjust the duration.
In case your phone is stolen, you can use the app to snap pictures of the person who has it and the environment. Commands can be sent via the web-based interface or text message, but you'll have to upgrade for that.
More features
Moreover, the app lets you lock your device if it falls into untrustworthy hands and if they try to uninstall the app, it automatically locks the phone. You can also get the exact GPS location of your device or wipe all data from it.
You can also get a notification in case someone tries to replace the SIM. However, some of the features are only available in the pro version which costs 3.99$. Wheres My Droid requires lots of permissions from your phone and that might cause some antivirus apps to see it as a threat or malware. But the app shouldn't pose any security issues.
