LINE Antivirus 1.0.40
Colorful interface like no other
The UI doesn't resemble any other app, as it's filled with animation and cute designs that take away all seriousness that other antivirus apps have. It doesn't come with instructions, but you'll get the hang of it fast as the icons are similar to those of other antivirus apps, so there's nothing very unfamiliar about that.
Online registration isn't required so start using the app right away and enable real-time monitoring to have the app scan recently installed applications and files. In addition, enable smishing under settings so that it could scan all SMS you receive and inform you of vulnerabilities.
Scan your device for malware
Quick scans last for well under one minute, but you'll need to perform a thorough analysis of your app after installation, to make sure vulnerabilities aren't included in apps or files on the device. You can also have the app check for protection of personal information.
During this process it will scan all apps installed on your device and tell you which ones may impose some privacy risks so you can address them properly. The app can also be used for optimizing your device, it clears browser history, deletes Google Play search history, deletes clipboard data and app cache data and frees up your RAM.
Manage apps, delete files securely and use the anti-theft feature to locate it
Line comes with a feature for managing apps, but it only displays applications that haven't been used for 6 months to 1 year, and doesn't detect those installed earlier than that. The feature is useless if you've flashed your phone or bought it recently.
It lacks a feature for locating your device in case of loss or theft. Such a tool existed inside the app but for some reason, developers decided to remove it. This is quite inconvenient considering that many other antivirus apps come with such a feature.

Bottom Line
Design / UI9
It's probably the cutest antivirus app we've seen so far, but it has a problem with layout as it's missing a shortcut to an important feature, anti-theft. |
Function7
Only after extensive use can one say if an antivirus app provides full protection, but Line has some features that don't work and it could use more settings. |
Security8
It peaks into many areas of your phone, but surprisingly fewer than other popular antivirus apps. |
Battery7
Consumption is moderate, the app doesn't use so many resources in order to have even the capacity of draining your battery. |
Price10
Completely free of charge, no in-app purchases, not even ads to other applications created by the developer. |
Compatibility7
It should work on devices running Android version 2.2 Froyo or later, making it accessible to many users. |
A cute app, but it can't possibly compete against the giants in the field.
