Stylish design with plenty of features

The app sports a rather stylish design with all three main sections arranged at the top of the screen. There's a search bar right next to the settings icon. Users have the option of setting the app to display metric ingredients or enable notifications for when new content is added. The UI is easy-to-use and features suggestions of meals in the background. Users need to register in order to use this app.

Search through more than 350,000 recipes

Unlike other apps, BigOven doesn't come with a menu, but rather three sections to choose from. You can browse through recipe collections, mainly ideas for holiday dinners, seasonal soups and sweets. Users also have the option of searching for recipes based on ingredients and dietary needs, but the feature is available only if you upgrade for 1.87$ per month or 19.26$ per year.

Other than that, it comes with a feature that lets you search for recipes that would incorporate leftovers that you might have in your fridge. All recipes come with clear instructions and pictures, together with a notes section and reviews by other users. There's also the option of sharing recipes on social networks.

Create your own meal plan

Before you favorite recipes and add ingredients to your shopping list, check nutritional facts to make sure the meals will provide you with the must-needed energy. You can also add your own recipes to the app. BigOven comes with a menu planner to help you plan meals for the upcoming week. This is extremely helpful, if you cook for several days during the weekend.
