Inbox by Gmail 1.1

Try Gmail's new email service and sort your messages instantly
Google caused quite a stir when it launched its new email application called Inbox. It does differ from all other email services on the market, hoping to bring a breath of fresh air to the dull interfaces and formats of some services that we've all gotten used to.

Inbox is available for Android devices in Google Play Store, but requires an invitation. Request one by emailing to [email protected] before attempting to install the application.

Truly sleek interface that greets you with a tutorial

The first thing you'll need to do in the app after signing in is check out the tutorial. It's filled with all sorts of suggestions and tips for getting used to Inbox faster and understanding all its features, so you can use the app to its full potential.

The side menu provides you with quick access to all sections inside the app, including to inbox messages, drafts and sent emails. Spam emails are featured in a separate section and the app categorizes emails that you've received based on topics.

Bundle emails

Similar messages are arranged into certain categories based on their topic. This makes it easier to find and manage them, without getting lost in the multitude of emails that people receive. Now you can have your work and personal emails separate and you can even shift through Gmail accounts with the tap of one finger. In addition, you can manage all your messages by adding folders to arrange them.

Highlights feature lets you get important information from emails without opening them, as it displays the first few rows of messages and even lets you check in for a flight or view photos from friends. Moreover, you can set reminders to certain emails and deal with them later if you'd like.

Snooze emails

Inbox also lets you snooze emails and reminders, in order to get back to them when you have the time. The search bar lets you find messages fast, without having to endlessly scroll down through them. Writing an email is also easy, with the tap of one finger you can select a sender, type in text, attach photos and send. Reminders are also easy to set. The app also lets you send invitations to friends to join the community and start using Inbox by Gmail.
