Space Hub 3.1.0.2

Learn new stuff about the Universe and the space missions with a neat application
Understanding how stars and planets are formed or getting the latest reports from deep space missions are only a couple of things you can check out with the help of Space Hub, a nifty utility made for Windows Phone users.

With relevant photos and graphical representations of processes or celestial bodies far away and packing some reliable information from reputed sources, this app offers a pretty good perspective of man's quest to unravel the mysteries of the Universe.

Friendly and customizable GUI

The looks of this application are nice, with a decent appearance and an organized layout where the info is well structured, while the main commands and functions are conveniently placed for quick access.

The articles open promptly and the imagery is of the best quality, but the utility lags when retrieving the news feed update. Also, for some reason the articles appear inside the list several times.

In case you want to give Space Hub a slightly different look you can modify its color from the "Settings" are, as you have several hues to choose from.

Read the news articles and check out the cool photos

The app brings you the latest stories published by 3 sources that are well-known in the field, more precisely Astronomy Now, Spaceflight Now and Universe Today.

By default all of them are selected and you can uncheck any of them from the dedicated section of the "Settings" area in case you do not want to receive news updates from the respective feeds.

A nice thing is that Space Hub allows you to open the pictures from the selected articles separately, to view them in full, but there are no zooming options.

In case you want to read the news pieces inside the web browser, there is a dedicated button inside the main menu that enables you to load the respective article in Internet Explorer.

The "Events" module of the utility will keep you posted about important things that are about to happen in the upcoming days, but this area may just as well remain empty if nothing is scheduled in the near future.

A special section of Space Hub is the "APOD" area where you can enjoy the Astronomy Picture of the Day right onto you handset. By tapping it you will be able to load the article that usually accompanies the image.
