Pleasant and well organized front-end
The interface of this utility looks quite nicely polished and it also has a practical layout that will enable you to access all the sections, menus and commands with minimal efforts. There are several categories, each with its own screen, where content from other users is available, including ongoing and passed contests, as well as artist information.
Browsing through the various parts of the app, among the tools and loading the images is done with a noticeable delay and all operations seem to suffer from this lag. On top of it all, there are numerous animated ads shown inside the application, in the upper side of the screen.

Right from the home screen of PicsArt you will be able to choose the type of job you want to carry out, so you can take a snapshot on the spot, load an existing photo or several (in collage mode) to edit them.
There are numerous editing tools and each is well prepared with many commands and adjustments, like the effects section where you can access tens of filters and customize the settings of each of them in great detail.
Freely drawing onto the white canvas or onto a photo is possible, as well as creating unique collages with beautiful backgrounds and choosing from a wide variety of framed or simple layouts.

The app has a really nice look to it, practical and appealing in the same time, but the slowdowns in accessing any areas inside it, or when applying changes to the images take away some of the good feel of the experience. Also, the advertisement banners spoil some of the fun as they keep on changing and flashing in the top area of the screen. |
