Beatphonic Free 2.1.0.1
Especially tailored for Windows Phone users, this application offers a simple and very fun way of playing and recording fresh beats, using over a dozen instruments, with high-quality sounds and easy to use controls.
Beautifully simple interface with smooth graphics
The utility is equipped with a clean and intuitive GUI, where all the functions are at hand and a well thought-out interactive tutorial explains every action right from the first run.
The crisp graphics and smooth animations are accompanied by a smooth navigation through the various menus and sections of the app, with the only visible drawback being some occasional reminders that prompt you to rate and review Beatphonic Free.
Roll the dice to change the beats on the fly
This app comes with quite a few possibilities in terms of musical style and instrument combinations, providing some nice beats for pop, techno, r&b and dance. The sounds include trance and funk music and moving around the vividly colored balls will change everything.
For each of them there is a volume control attached and a slider for adjusting it, while the movement of these instruments can be done by dragging them with your finger or by moving the phone fast up, down, left or right to obtain the same result.
Shaking the handset or pressing the dice button from the main menu triggers the randomization of the beats and by tapping the screen you will activate the few sound effects that come for free, most of them being available only in the full version.
Adjustable rhythm and customizable presets
The BPM can be changed manually with the help of the dedicated slider control that appears when you tap the current value and if you want to load a different music style, simply press the name of currently playing one.
There are several built-in presets that this app comes with and in case you want o create some of your own, all you have to do is move the instruments in the desired position, then access the presets area and save the current layout.
Straightforward recording and playback functions
Beatphonic Free allows you to easily capture the audio with one tap on the record button and everything is automatically saved inside your local music folder.
The only thing you should be careful about is naming the recordings to avoid giving them the same names other sound files have, which could make them unplayable.
From the "Recordings" section of the app you can view the captured sounds and if you want to listen to any of them, simply select it and press the "Play" button.
