If you’re looking at the review for this app you’re most certainly already a fan of shooting videos left and right with the help of your phone. YouTube Capture is an app that enables you to shoot various videos and put them together straight from your phone, without needing to transfer everything over to the computer.

As you launch the app, you’ll first go through a series of instructions. For instance, it instructs you to (please) rotate your device when you shoot videos, tells you that you can shoot as many scenes as you want, trim and rearrange clips, add music and post it all to YouTube, while also sharing to various social network.

Easy to use

The tool comes with a pretty simple interface that makes it easy to handle. The record button is big and red, which makes it easy to spot. You can also use another couple of buttons to switch to the front camera or turn on the flash. Another button will give you access to the videos you’ve already recorded and can be found on  your Camera Roll.

Once the recording is done, you can move on to editing the clip. You can tap to edit any of the pieces you recorded or hold to rearrange them. The app provides you with a small tool that allows you to trim the video pieces to the length that you desire by simply sliding two buttons from the left and right – a very simple process. Any of the portions can also be thrown out by dragging them to the bin.

If you want, you can always add more footage that you have on your device and go through the same process.

The next step is adding music. You can either select tracks that you have on your device or check out the many songs in the YouTube Soundtracks folder. When you pick one you can even adjust the music volume you want it to play at. 

Set your privacy

Before uploading the video, you can choose its privacy settings (Public, Unlisted, Private), enable or disable color correction and stabilization enhancement options. The app’s general settings enable you to set the video quality bar, choose to only upload content to YouTube when the WiFi is activated.

Overall, this is a pretty great tool and the fact that it comes from Google makes things even better since it shows how the company things YouTube videos should be made like.
