Replay 2.7
Replay is an iOS app that will help you actually make great videos extremely easy and fast. The tool is simple to use and it only takes a few steps to get things done.
Easy steps
Thanks to the simple interface, you should find it easy to figure out what you need to do. First of all, you can select photos and videos from your Camera Roll, from albums and the Photostream, which you can put together via the wizard.
There are also plenty of styles to pick from. These will matter in the way the pictures succeed each other. Each style comes with a series of settings which you can browse through, changing the tone of the entire video. There are only a few of these which are free to use, the rest you’ll have to purchase.
Then, you can edit the video by going from frame to frame. You may choose a focus point, add text, duplicate a frame or delete one altogether in case you’ve changed your mind about it. It’s even possible to reorder them if you want to.
Add a beat
The next step involves adding music to the video. There are a few of them that you can add for free, and more that you can download. The tracks can be trimmed to fit your needs after you double-tap the entry. What’s cool about this feature is the fact that the app will detect the beat of the track and they’ll move along with it.
Lastly, you can choose whether the video’s format with be square or cinema, which is the classic 16:9. Also, you may choose between three pace settings – slower, natural or faster.
The videos can then be given a title. You may share them via several mediums, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, WhatsApp, Instagram or email. They can also be published on Replay and saved to the Camera Roll so you can watch them at any time.
The app comes with some new Instagram features that enable you to fit your movies for the popular platform, playing faster and exporting in just a few seconds. In order to take advantage of this feature, however, you’ll have to go to the Format panel of the movie preview screen and turn on the “Fit for Instagram” feature.
All in all, this is a really cool app that deserves all the high praise it’s been getting. The only thing they could definitely improve on is expanding the free library for those who don’t exactly want to dig into their pockets for extra features.
