Yahoo Sport is an app that seeks to help you keep track of numerous sports and championships.
Who's your favorite?
As you start up the app, you’re immediately questioned what teams are your favorites from the likes of the World Cup, Champions League, Euro 2016 Qualifiers and so on. There are teams upon teams available to choose from and upon doing so, the grey star on the left will turn golden. This means that you’re going to get notifications about these teams and they’ll even be highlighted in the app’s interface.
The app doesn’t just provide support for football (or soccer for American readers), but also for baseball, basketball, ice hockey, tennis, cycling, and so on. If you want, you can edit the sports list and add in some more sports you may be following such as cricket, rugby, and even car racing and wrestling.
Yahoo Sport comes with several tabs you can choose to view data on. For instance, one of them is “Scores”. Depending on the sport you picked, or the championship, you’ll get extra information regarding the latest data regarding the competing teams. Tapping on any of the matches, for instance, will provide more information about the game. For instance, for football matches, you can check out who scored and what team had possession of the ball for the longer time. Extensive stats are also available, as well as a play-by-play of the game’s most important moments.
Read news
In the News section, you can read up news on the championship or sport you picked, while the Table area will provide data on the team’s standing.
The tabs available vary from sport to sport, but they provide pretty much the same extensive information on the players, games and so on.
Yahoo Sports is a pretty complex app that provides a lot of data on a wide range of sports. The fact that it also provides news articles regarding these is a definitive bonus and gives the app another level of depth.
