FIFA 3.0
The official FIFA app was created to bring news about the latest developments to everyone interesting, including the famous FIFA World Cup, the most prestigious championship in the world and one of the most watched sporting events.
Intuitive
The tool is pretty straightforward and easy to handle and it should hold no surprises for users trying it out for the first time. The home screen hosts a bunch of news articles which you can read whenever you want. Some of them are accompanied by videos, while others only get photos to go along with the text. Users can increase and decrease the font size to make it all easier to read for them, but they can also share the information with others via Facebook or Twitter.
The search feature allows users to look through more content, including news, photos, videos, FIFA rankings, media releases and so on.
The FIFA app’s side menu, which is accessible via the omnipresent hamburger button that we’ve all become accustomed to, holds access to more areas. For instance, you can check out the latest live scores from FIFA competitions, or get access to data the latest information about the FIFA World Cup. You can filter out the results by continent and competitions, which makes things easier.
The rankings are also accessible from the same area, where you can switch between men’s and women’s confederations. If you want to see the data for specific areas, you can do this by tapping the button in the top right corner.
Learn more
Another pretty important tab gives users access to the FIFA campaigns. There are plenty of those to go around and you’ll learn more about the things the organization is involved in. You’ll be able check out an interactive projects and have some fun with the various activities while you’re at it.
The app’s settings area enable you to pick a language to show the data in, and make some adjustments in order for your phone bill not to be astronomical if you use the app too much by having the tool only automatically refresh by using cellular data.
All in all, this is a nice app, but unfortunately it seems to only have a good role during the more intense seasons and very little outside of these. Thanks to a recent update, the FIFA app brings more information to the table, as they gear up for the 2018 event. The latest news, photos and videos are getting delivered to the app to keep everyone up to date.
