Wash Post 2.6.0

The Washington Post app helps you get the latest news from the popular newspaper
Knowing what’s going on in the world around you is important to better understand various political stances and decisions taken by leaders everywhere. That’s why reading the news is something that’s particularly important to do.

If you like Washington Post, then installing the app they created for iOS devices should be the way to go since it’s so much easier to read than the mobile version of the site.

Read all the news

The app is pretty simple and straightforward. As you launch it, you’ll notice the site’s top story and you can scroll through various other topics that were handpicked by the editorial crew. You can gain speedy access to several other categories, such as politics and opinions. More are hidden under a button where you can access the many other news categories available, varying from sports, lifestyle, tech, business and entertainment, to name just a few.

If you’re more interested in a specific topic and you want to get faster access to it, you can tap the “Edit” button in the “More” menu and adjust the bookmark bar by adding and removing various topics. The order of these can then be adjusted to fit your needs.

More areas of the app can be accessed via the hamburger button, such as the photos collection, the traffic info and the weather data. If you’re not from the United States, however, you’re fresh out of luck on getting information about your corner of the world while reading the Washington Post. The Settings area is also accessible from this particular area, but you’ll only get a few options to fiddle with regarding the offline reading powers. For instance, you can preload favorites and cache article images.

Reading adjustments

Reading articles via the Washington Post app is quite nice. The article will kick off with the attached picture, the social sharing buttons and the actual news. In the top ribbon, you’ll notice there’s also a way to adjust the way the text looks, namely the font size and page brightness, just like you would in an e-book reading app, for instance.

Overall, this is a nice app that is extremely easy to navigate. If you like the Washington Post, then there’s little doubt that you should have this app installed on your device.
