TripAdvisor Hotels Flights Restaurants 9.6.1
On the other hand, you can get lost, end up in the one restaurant that serves bad food, fail to find proper hotel accommodations, use public transportation because you didn’t find a car rental, get mugged, etc.
A lot of stuff crammed together in a small UI
TripAdvisor aims to help with all that by looking up stuff like hotels, restaurants, flights, attractions to give you all the options you have in a tightly packed interface. The UI can feel a little crowded, but the invaluable service is worth squinting a little.
The starting point is your TripAdvisor home screen where you can instantly find and book hotels, restaurants, places to visit, flights etc., or ask the app to recommend these things in the area close to you. Everything looks simple and easy to use at first, but it’s not always like that.
Feeling like a fish out of the water?
TripAdvisor keeps tabs on everything from hotel rooms to jet rides. If something big is happening in your area, you’ll be among the first to know thanks to its near-me feature. Add the photo galleries, offline maps and reviews into the mix and you’ve got yourself the perfect “trip advisor.”
Delving deep into its features, you’ll discover a treasure trove of information about all the places around you, as well as places everywhere else in the world at your demand. It aggregates reviews, maps, photo galleries, and even offers phone numbers and other ways of booking a service.
The calendar marker is a nice touch. You can select the booking period and TripAdvisor will instantly filter out the selected service in that given timeframe.
The latest version lets you download maps, reviews, and your saves for over 300 cities worldwide, and view your current location on maps through GPS without a data plan. Also, member profiles now show photos and badges, as well as find and reserve tables at thousands of restaurants.
The developers have also included extra content for neighborhoods, including photos, descriptions, and maps for cities such as New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Paris, Rome, and Barcelona, with more to follow. You may also save your favorite Vacation Rentals to a special folder.
Find deals, plan your trips
You can check out all the places you’ve visited via a new “Been” button, which can be pretty handy when you can’t actually remember the name of that restaurant you likes so much, or the hotel where you spent a great weekend.
When looking for restaurants, you can find deals near you, which is always great. For several restaurants in France and Spain you may even get up to 50 percent off meals when booking online.
TripAdvisor allows you to save drafts of your reviews and submit them when you’re ready so you can make sure that you’ve managed to say all that you wanted to say about that particular location. You can toggle between hotels, restaurants and attractions and off any map, view opening hours for restaurants and find hotels that correspond to your smallest of demands.
The flight shopping experience has been completely redesigned, making finding the perfect flight easier than ever. You can choose how many people will be travelling, pick specific airports and the type of seats you’re looking for. Once the results are in, you may pick if to display the lowest price at the top, see the quickest flight, check for earliest departure, or the latest arrival. Additional filters allow you to choose how many stops you want your flight should have, what times you prefer for departing, what airlines to display and what amenities the plane should have.
