The Talks 1.1.4

The Talks serves you with fresh interviews you'll want to read
Knowing what’s happening in the world around you is obviously quite important in order to better understand the political decisions that are being taken by world leaders. Just as important, however, is to take a step back and enjoy what others have to say on various topics in interviews.

The Talks is an interview magazine that gets updated with new content each week. There’s a growing collection on discussions with various personalities, including Jack Nicholson, Tom Ford, Mick Jagger, Francis Ford Coppola or Mike Tyson, to name a few.

Great design

The app has a pretty simple interface, straight-forward and without any kind of nonsense. The crisp black and white design gives the app and the magazine an air of professionalism, which is a nice touch compared to the impression you get when accessing an overly colorful news app.

You’ll be able to read interviews on a range of topics, including art, fashion and film. The latest additions are marked accordingly, while the editor’s picks are put up front and center, making them easy to spot.

Remember, when checking out each category, that you can scroll through the interviews presented there by simply swiping your finger on the screen, over the specific interviews list.

Once you’ve picked on to read, you can view a photograph of the person getting interviewed, as well as some additional information regarding that person – the name, date of birth, place of birth and occupation.

There are several questions in each interview, but none that we’ve gone through were too long to bore you. At the top of the page you’ll discover there’s a gallery you can access. If there are more than one picture in there, you’ll be able to go through them all.

There’s also a sound button, which means that you can listen to a short audio sample from that particular interview. The “Read Later” button is pretty straightforward and it will save the article to your list for future reading.

Navigate the app

Some additional buttons can be found at the bottom of the page and they’ll keep you company as you scroll through the interview. One will help you go back to the previous screen, one will help you go to the top of the page and another will aid you in sharing the content with others via email, Twitter or Facebook. Additionally, you can just copy the link and share it with others. The last available button helps you increase and decrease the font of the text so you can more easily read everything.

Overall, the app is pretty nice and you should give it a go if you want to check out some cool interviews.
