Case in point, Toze Labs offers up this TVShow Time app that acts as a TV guide and scheduler for addicts.
Track your shows from the last-watched episode
Probably the best thing in this app is the ability to select shows by your last-watched episode. When you’re done with that, the app instantly creates an agenda for you, tracking all your must-see episodes and even telling you when and where they air.
So, instead of flipping through a paper guide or searching the web frantically, all you do is launch TVShow Time and it tells you when your favorite thing is on. It even has notifications. It’s brilliant!
Another awesome thing about it is that it knows where you left off and lets you start from there the next time you’re ready to be a couch potato again.
GUI, web episodes, social aspect
While it doesn’t play any live content for you, it does open access to web series episodes. You also get the chance to comment with a community of 200K+ users on the shows you’re tracking.
As far as the visuals are concerned, TVShow Time looks pretty slick. It’s easy to browse the shows and gain more information about each and every one of them, including photos of the actors and Wikipedia information.
Mandatory log-in
One thing we don’t care for in this app is the mandatory log-in. You can’t do anything in it until you sign up for an account, sign in with an existing account, or enter your Facebook credentials.
If you choose to log in with Facebook, TVShow Time will grab some of your personal information. It doesn’t seem like they’ll be using it for nefarious purposes, but you deserve to know and make note of that.
