Noom Coach: Weight Loss 3.2.2
Noom Coach: Weight Loss is one of the leading apps that seek to help you get in shape, achieve your goals under your own terms.
Log in your data
The tool starts off by asking some personal questions, such as how much weight do you want to lose and at what speed you want to shed the extra kilograms. It will also ask how much you currently weight, whether you’re a man or a woman, how old you are and what your height is.
The app displays a calendar that you have to fill in. You can log in your meals, whether they’re in the system already or not. You can type in the name and the app will give you some suggestions, but you can also scan a bar code or create your own dish from scratch by putting in the ingredients. This is particularly useful for those cases when the app just doesn’t have your favorite dish on list.
Exercise
The tool also keeps an eye out on how often you walk and has set your goal at 10,000 steps per day. Additionally, if you exercise you can add in what you did. Noom lets you pick between walking, treadmill walk, running, sand run, biking, aerobics, baseball, boxing, golfing, riding a hosrse, dancing, doing pilates, playing ping pong, doing sit ups, skating, doing yoga or Zumba and so on. For each of these, you’ll have to provide more details so the app can better evaluate how much effort you put in and how many calories you’ve used up.
Noom Coach provides a weight graph that you can look at as you progress through your effort of being healthier and eating better. For the best results, the app will even notify you when to have your meals.
There’s also a pro version that costs a between €3,75 and €8,99 per month, depending on how long your subscription is (1 year or 1 month).
All in all, Noom is a pretty great app that can help keep you on track. All you have to do is follow some instructions, log in your meals and try out a bit of exercising. Hopefully, it will keep you motivated to get in shape after the Holiday season.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
Clean design that should help you find everything that you need in the app |
Function9
The app will keep an eye on your progress, but it still needs a lot of input from you |
Security8
App seems to be as safe as can be, although that level will probably go down a bit if you log in with Facebook |
Battery8
App seems to be as safe as can be, although that level will probably go down a bit if you log in with Facebook |
Price8
App is free, but Pro version costs quite a bit, although it comes with plenty of benefits |
Compatibility8
App requires iOS 7.0 and up to work. There’s no iPad app, but since this one tracks how many steps you take, it would be awkward with a tablet anyway |
Great app that you should try on the next time you want to lose some weight and live healthier
