It’s not always easy to keep track of where your paycheck disappears every month. Paying all your due bills, food expenses, housing, groceries and transportation, not to mention any other personal expenses you may have may drain your pockets without you even realizing it.

My Finances is an app that seeks to help you keep a better account of all the money that comes into your account and everything that goes out. You’ll just have to remember to log everything in and you’ll already be a few steps ahead so you can better understand what happens to your monthly paychecks.
The tool enables you to log in how much your income is, the amounts showing up regularly in the daily logs. Then, you may log in all the expenses you’ve had, regardless of the category they may fit in.

Add expenses in categories

My Finances already comes with a few pre-determined categories, but more can be added at any time. For instance, you can choose between housing, utilities, household, groceries, transportation, health care, personal, eating out, entertainment, and savings. These are already pretty-much all-covering but if you have anything else that you regularly spend on, you may want to add those in, even if you feel that the expense may already fit under a larger category. This will help you keep a better eye on your finances.

The tool gives you access to some statistics. For instance, you’ll be able to check your overall balance, but also more detailed data on your weekly, monthly and yearly spending habits, documenting your income, expenses, but also which was your highest income, highest expense and any upcoming payments you need to make.

Option for your recurring payments

Talking of which, you can set up recurring expenses you may have, such as you rent and your phone bill. You can adjust whether the payment needs to be made every day, week, fortnight, month, year and so on. It’s also possible to set the exact day of the week, as well as a range of dates when the payments need to start and when they need to end, if you have a pre-determined period already set.

This is a pretty cool app for those who want to keep a better eye on the way their money comes in and goes out of their pockets. It should really help everyone better understand their habits. There are some features that are locked away under a payment wall, but you can probably do without or just pay for the full version if you want access to full stats, unlimited transactions and data export capabilities, as well as Dropbox backup.
