HomeBudget Lite (w/ Sync) 3.1.4
When you draw the line, sometimes it’s a mystery how you’re still left with bills in your wallet. To solve that mystery, you can use HomeBudget from the people at Anishu Inc.
Easy setup, rapid data input
A free app for your iOS device, HomeBudget displays natively on both iPhone and iPad and comes with a painless setup process that lets you begin with whatever your heart desires. You can either punch in your income, or you can go right ahead and create the expenses, or mark the bills-to-come on a calendar.
The home screen is customizable, meaning you can start with whatever view you want. By default, it gives you a bird’s eye view of your expenses, bills, income, budged, accounts, payees, reports, and Expenses as % of Budget with a nice colorful graph. Very simple and intuitive. The choice in colors is very smart too. It allows you to track individual points of data without having to squint.
Expenses, income, bills
A fully-featured expense tracker, HomeBudget helps you keep tabs on your expenses, income, bills-due and account balances, with support for budgeting, and analysis of your expenses and income. You can look at your numbers along with some nice charts and graphs.
A bill can become an expense (when you pay for it) and the app automatically adjusts the account balance. Pretty neat, huh? HomeBudget includes Family Sync, which allows a group of devices within the household to exchange information in a single-budget format.
Some features are free, while others are paid. There are no in-app purchases to be made, and there are no ads either (aside from the prompt to get the paid version when you hit a brick wall). But there is a Pro version available in the App Store.
Other features include backup and restore of complete application data, including Dropbox integration, the ability to upload your own list of category icons, a localization feature that automatically sets your device to shows date and currency symbols appropriate for your region, and more.
A secure app
HomeBudget Lite even comes with a passcode lock which you can set to kick in after mere seconds of inactivity, or minutes, depending on the type of convenience you prefer. You can also export data, as well as sync it to the cloud, which always raises some concerns.
HomeBudget Lite also comes with PDF reports and users should also be happy to hear that there’s Touch ID integration to make life easier for everyone involved when it comes to authorizing various processes.
