So, how do you feel about model kits? Love them? Well then, you may be in luck since you don’t have to deal with a gazillion parts that your dog may snatch off the table as you try to fit another small part in its place, thanks to a mobile app.

Monzo is an app that you can use to build a model directly from your mobile device. Varying from DaVinci’s machines, sports cars, planes, ships and dinosaurs, the app allows you to enjoy whatever makes you happy.

Step-by-step

Everyone can use the app to build these machines with the help of their phones. First, you open the box, like you would in real life, then you open the manual and follow the step-by-step instruction. You can zoom in on the part, swipe around to observe the model, use two fingers to move the part to a new location and so on.

The parts you’ll need are on the left side of the screen and they’ll light up as you flip the pages on the manual. When you complete one page, it’ll get a checkmark so you know the parts are mended together.

When you’re done, you’ll get more options to customize it all. For instance, when wrapping up the job for a sports car, you’ll get the opportunity to paint it and add stickers. You can either pick a color and have the app paint the entire car that color, or you can just drag and drop the colors you want to the desired locations, be them the car’s body, the chairs or the wheels. There are a bunch of stickers available that you can add too, and those can be in color too so make sure to pick them right.

The last step is taking a picture of your work and for this, the app will provide some backgrounds.

Some are free, some are for purchase

There are dozens of models available, some for free. Most, however, are available for purchase. You may even save some money by buying bundles containing two or more models. It’s also possible to buy paint packages and stickers that will better fit your bike or camouflage paint job.

This is a pretty great app and it works nice on the phone. We didn’t it experience any crash or lag as we handled the models, which is always a good sign with this type of tools.
