Monthly Cycles 4.1.1

Keep track of your monthly cycles with this easy-to-use app
Women go through a lot of due to the way their bodies work. While it wasn’t that long ago that most used a calendar and a pen to mark up those delicate monthly days, nowadays it’s more popular (and efficient) to do this with the help of a smartphone app, especially since everyone and their grandmother seem to  have one.

Monthly Cycles is an app that seeks to help you out on an everyday basis, not just to keep track of your period, but also of whatever else you may be going through. You’ll have to tell the app a little bit about your cycle to start things off, including when was the first day of your last period, how many days it lasts and how many days your usual cycle has.

Daily fill-in

Once all this data is introduced, you can move on to the actual calendar. You’ll notice at the top of the screen the date and how many days are left before your next period. The full calendar is available below and it’s peppered with variously colored dots indicating the period days, the fertile window and when ovulation is expected to take place.

For each day, you can fill out various data, such as the period flow, if the case arises, or your temperature and weight. If you had fun or took pills, you can mark those too, along with various symptoms. The latter come in three stages and you can mark just how bad things are by tapping the appropriate button for an array of issues, varying from acne, headaches, nausea, dizziness and so on.

The app provides users with a daily diary feature where they can write whatever they’re going through, including by marking your general mood and the activities you took part of. Furthermore, there’s also a way to check out additional information about yourself. There are various charts that you can access, including to check the cycle length and duration, temperature, weight, symptoms and events you’ve been a part of.

Pregnancy mode

If you’re pregnant, you can enable this mode from the Settings area. Then, instead of the app telling you when your next period will be, it will tell you how far along you are and how many days are left before you deliver your baby.

You can still log data about yourself, including temperature and weight and symptoms, which will also be helpful in your new state.

All in all, this is a nice app that should come in handy for all women. However, if you are pregnant, you might want to get a different app that provides more information to alleviate all those concerns you have.
