Learn Spanish - Vocabulary 1.6

Learning a foreign language can always be a great thing, not only for your personal growth, but also for various other reasons. For instance, if you are to travel to a certain country, you may want to be able to communicate with the locals with more than hand gestures and pointing at whatever item you want o purchase or shoving three fingers in their face indicating you want three of those.

Well, Learn Spanish – Vocabulary is a basic tool that will help you go through the first few steps of learning how to speak Spanish. As you launch the app, you’ll notice that there are several categories of lessons you can go through.

The “Essentials” package is completely free and it contains a few sub categories of its own. The rest, however, are available for purchase either on their own, or in bulk as a complete course, which is a far better deal as it is.

You can check out how to say various words related to restaurants, shopping, travelling, entertainment, people, home, the date or numbers. Each of these has categories of its own, taking you through a series of words that you need.

The app comes with a way to learn and a way to practice what you’ve learnt. As you go through the categories, you can tap on any of the words there and hear how they are pronounced, how they are spelled and how they look, thanks to the pictures right next to them. There are several views you can try out – the list, flashcards, or images.

Practice what you learn

Then, there’s the practice area. The app will show an image and you have to drag and drop the right answer into the designated spot. Alternatively, you can speak the right words if you want, or to write them. You may also listen to the words again.

The app is extremely simple to use and to navigate and it’s pretty useful to have around, even if you’re not planning to travel to a Spanish-speaking country anytime soon. You won’t be getting an extensive lesson in the language, but it should be enough to get you through some beginner conversations since you can pretty much pick up other conversation basics while traveling or watching a show in this language.
