theScore: Sports & Scores 3.14.4
Intuitive and sleek interface
The app comes with a dark background, featuring a search bar at the top of the screen and a menu on the left. There are some settings you can make to the UI, like order sports leagues in the menu, enable alerts with vibration and sound or manage subscriptions.
The Score app doesn't come with ads, but displays a banner on the bottom of the screen urging users to sign up for the newsletter. It also features a home screen widget and the option of refreshing info once everything 5 minutes. There are no instructions, only a tutorial when first launching the app.
Keep track of your favorite teams
Whenever you need to check on upcoming games by your favorite team, simply use the app but you'll need to follow certain teams beforehand. The menu is filled with several sports leagues, including soccer, Formula 1, basketball, golf, tennis and martial arts.
Simply tap on one to find out the schedule of matches for the next few weeks, location and game odds. Users can share the schedule with friends on social networks or favorite them for fast access. Use the search bar to find your favorite team, view upcoming matches and the roster, but the app needs to update information on certain teams.
Get the latest news and check the calendar
The news section is filled with all the latest articles from the sports world. You can sort stories by league and have the app only show you articles on a certain championship. In addition, all articles can be shared and are well fitted to the phone screen.
There's no comment section and users can't change font size or switch to night view. The Hot Games section features upcoming games in the main championship, with plenty of stats and articles. The app can be set to automatically sync with your phone calendar and alert you of upcoming games to watch.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The app's interface is neat and well arranged, but it could provide users with the option of changing font size and enabling night mode when reading articles. |
Function8
The Score app takes a while to load details on teams and upcoming matches. It also needs to update information on certain players. |
Security7
It needs access to many areas of your phone, including location services. |
Battery6
The app doesn't necessarily drain your battery, but it does use a fair amount of resources so keep an eye on your power levels. |
Price9
It's completely free of charge, no ads just a banner that urges users to subscribe to the newsletter. |
Compatibility8
The developer didn't mention Android versions required for this app. |
A neat app for keeping up with your favorite teams, but it needs to update its information.
