ESPN 4.5
You'll need an app on your phone so that you can always keep track of the latest scores and stories on your favorite team. Try the official ESPN app for that, it's filled with all the information you need including news, stories and live scores so that you wouldn't miss a thing.
Intuitive interface with plenty to offer
The app doesn't come with any instructions or a tutorial, to show users how to access all of its features and make the most out of it. It launches with the registration page, either sign into your account or use Facebook to register.
You can also bypass this page and go straight to the app and read all the top stories. It has a side menu that grants access to all of its sections, as well as to your favorite teams and lets users view live content directly from the TV station.
Browse through articles and read the latest news
The home section is filled with all the latest scores of matches in progress all over the world. Tap on a match to read the recap, view videos and check the stats. Use the search bar on top to find information on certain teams and sports.
You can also check the news on various sports including baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, etc. Users can share articles on social networks, but they can't enlarge the text size or switch to another mode.
Still, you can pick a favorite team by accessing the section with sports and championships. Users can also set alerts for favorite teams or access them faster from the side menu.
Listen to airing programs
The app also lets you listen to airing programs but for that you'll need to install an additional app and it's not available in all locations. Still, the app provides you with detailed information on all sort of teams, including scores, news and tables, as well as ranking in various championships.
You can also set alerts for team news, game start and final. Other than that, the app doesn't really come with any extra features and it even has some stability issues, in the sense that it seems to crash a lot and takes quite a while to open sections.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The interface is okay, with a side menu and tabs to make it easier to access sections but it doesn't have any other customization features. |
Function8
It has some stability as it crashes a lot and it doesn't let you zoom in on text. It could really use some more features. |
Security8
You'll need to register with your Facebook account or an email address, but the app shouldn't pose any privacy issues. |
Battery6
Keep an eye on resources as the app may cause your device to drain. |
Price10
It's completely free of charge, no ads or in-app purchases whatsoever. |
Compatibility8
It should work on devices running Android version 4.1 or later, making it accessible to many users. |
It's a nice app but it could use some more features.
