The app doesn't come with a tutorial or any kind of instructions, but you wouldn't really need them since it sports a really intuitive UI with lots of tools at hand. It doesn't require online registration, which is quite nice since it means that you won't waste time with that.
It doesn't have material design, but it does come with a side menu that provides access to all sort of interesting sections that you can check out. The overflow icon on the top right corner of the screen is filled with some options that you can check out, including a settings menu.

The home screen is filled with all sort of articles that you can check out, it has some suggestions of the latest stories, the top ones for the day or the week. Tap on one to open or to save it for reading later.
In addition, you can copy them on your device, open the link in the browser or share them with friends on social networks. Some articles come with videos, you can check them out using the player inside the app. There's the option of changing the font size and of using the side menu to view topics.
More tools and features
The side menu is filled with all sort of topics that you can choose from, pick from environment, space, health, earth, living world, biology, physics and more. The app will provide you with suggestions based on the topics that you like.
You can change the view type inside the app or use the search bar to find articles on a certain topic. There's the option to integrate with Facebook, Twitter or other social networks.
In addition, the settings menu has a section that allows users to suggest a source so they can check out articles easier. There's also the option to block sources and manage notifications that you receive inside the app.
