Microsoft Translator 1.0.1.015
Fortunately, the store is filled with all sort of translator apps that you can check out, one of them is Microsoft Translator. It's not as complex as Google Translate, but it was launched recently and it does have a nicer interface.
Beautiful interface with nice features
The app doesn't come with a tutorial or any kind of instructions, which is quite inconvenient considering that users find some tips beneficial especially when launching a new app. The UI is quite nice, it sports a beautiful wallpaper in the background and it uses transition effects when navigating through sections.
The app doesn't use material design, but it's layout is really nice keeping things simple without overcrowding the UI with too many icons. The home screen provides users with quick access to all of its features and there's an overflow icon on the top of the screen, so you can access the settings menu.
Translate all sort of phrases
There are two main icons on the home screen, one for TTS and one for accessing your keyboard and writing down phrases. The app is really intuitive, simply type in the text that you would like to translate and select the languages.
It comes with a long list of 50 languages, simply pick the ones that you would like to use. The home screen launches with a welcome message in multiple languages.
You can switch from one language to another easily and pin translations that you would like to check out later. Users can have the app display text on the full screen if they want.
More features
The app uses TTS, it can speak out phrases if you'd like. Other than that, it saves a history of all translations that you've made on your phone and the settings menu lets you clear data easily so you can make space.
In addition, the app makes continuous updates that provide speech recognition and translation results as you speak or type, but be wary that slower data speeds will impact the app's overall performance.
It would use a feature that allowed users to access their camera to scan text and translate it instantly. But the app does provide some really nice translations, although it might not be very accurate when translating large text.
