One of such applications is Medium. It's filled with various stories that you can check out, all packed into an interesting design with plenty of tools.

Sleek UI with plenty of features

The first thing that you need to do when launching the app is to register with an account. You can use your Facebook, Twitter or Google account to do so. Next, you'll need to pick from some topics, there's the option of choosing between design, technology, entrepreneurship, music, movies, comics, humor and more.

It takes a while to create an account so you would have to be patient with that. The app comes with some onscreen instructions and a side menu for accessing all sort of sections. The main menu also has some sections that you can check out by sliding the screen left or right.

Browse through all sort of stories

The app takes a while to personalize your reading list, but once it's done you can check out all sort of available articles. The side menu gives you access to various sections, like the reading list, tags and publications, as well as the settings menu.

Simply tap on one post to open the article, you can share stories, save them inside your phone or favorite them. It displays tags and it lets you follow the publisher so you can get other posts on the same topic. Users can also write responses and send them to writers or allow others to see them.

More features and tools

It also has a section with the top stories that you can check out and it shows you an estimation on how much time it would take to read the article. You can also bookmark stories that you would like to keep an read again, there's a separate section for them in the main menu.

A search bar lets you find stories, you simply need to type in keywords and search. The app lets you follow publications or find stories based on tags. Notifications can be adjusted from the settings menu and you can also disable image loading, so it wouldn't take up any mobile data.
