Hibernation Manager 2.0
Sleek and fluent UI with lots of tools
It doesn't come with a tutorial, although it would have been really useful especially for new users since it could help users get an overview on the app's functions. Still, it has some tips that you can check before you enable the app or make any changes to it.
It doesn't come with material design or a side menu that would provide quick access to its features. The app doesn't require online registration which is nice, because battery consumption would be low. It sports a really simplistic application, it doesn't have any additional screens, just a menu with some settings that you can adjust.
Hibernate apps and save battery
The app displays your CPU usage in Mhz and lets you enable its features with the the tap of one finger. The option automatically locks your CPU to the lowest possible frequency while your screen is OFF. Low CPU frequency lock ensures huge battery savings.
The CPU was designed to constantly compute many demanding tasks. For example, updating widgets, checking for software updates and app notifications. This computing power drains a lot of battery and is used when you don't really need it. That is why CPU frequency needs to be lowered when screen is off.
More features
It lets you choose which settings will be automatically disabled when your screen is off and enabled when your screen is on. If you don't like frequently changing your settings or you just want to save more battery, the app has an option that could help you.
It is better to have enabled hibernation for all settings, because the mode will automatically hibernate only currently active settings. Aside from system tasks, applications inside your phone drain battery the most, mainly because they check for updates and for notifications.
The app lets you hibernate whichever application you want, but keep in mind that your apps won't be allowed to display notifications anymore when the screen is off. Therefore, you should be careful with social and email apps, so you wouldn't miss important information shared with you.
