Sleek UI with some features
The app doesn't launch with a tutorial or some instructions, which means that new users won't be able to get an overview of the app's functions when they launch it.
It doesn't come with material design, but it does have a side menu that allows users to get access to all sort of sections. All features inside the app are arranged into tabs, you simply need to swipe the screen left or right in order to access them.
An overflow icon on the top right corner provides users with all sort of settings and changes that they can make. The app doesn't require users to enable their location services or register with an account.
Get all sort of information
The main menu has a section that displays all the latest earthquakes in a list, it shows you the exact time, date, depth, location and distance from where you are. You can display the location on a map, get more details, share on social networks or send a message if you've felt it.
There's also the option of accessing the official website of the U.S. Geological Survey. The latest earthquakes are also displayed on a map, so you can view your proximity to them.
More features and tools
It comes with a section filled with all sort of articles that you can check out, but it opens them using the browser installed on your phone. The stats section is filled with all the latest information, it displays a list of the top recent earthquakes arranged by their magnitude.
The side menu lets you access some settings that you can change, it has the option of setting a default distance filter, a date filter and one for magnitude.
You can also adjust notifications and sort them by relevance. The unit of measurement for distance can be changed and you can have the app show quake regions, distances to cities or override your location.
