Battery Optimizer丨Save Battery 2.0.0.662
Battery Optimizer by McAfee is a nice app that helps you kill applications in the background and make your phone work faster, while also releasing some well deserved memory.
Sleek design with an intuitive interface
The app launches with a tutorial, showing new users all the neat things that they could do with the features inside Battery Optimizer. It sports an intuitive interface but it lacks a side menu with access to sections and material design.
Still, you can make some changes to the app's functions if you access the settings menu under the overflow icon on the top right corner of the screen. The app isn't that complex, it only has a few features at hand, but it could use some more tools for optimizing your battery.
Optimize your battery
The home screen is a bit simplistic, it only displays your current battery level together with how much time you've got left until it drains. There's also a notification in the status screen, it shows you the estimated battery live left. It also has a boost icon on the home menu.
It doesn't use any animation, although that would have made the interface more appealing to users. There's a section on the bottom of the screen, you can see which apps run in the background and you have the option of closing them.
However, only a few of them are displayed, you'll need to open up a menu to display all of them in a list. It shows you how much CPU is used by each of these apps.
More features and tools
If you choose to extend battery, the app will shorten screen timeout, turn vibrate and auto sync off. However, you won't be able to adjust these features. The settings menu has some changes that you can make to the app's functions, you can extend threshold, sync data, set a charging notification and adjust it.
There's also the option of disabling the notification from the status screen. It comes with a sticky notification and the option to clean your memory and storage. Other than that, it also has a data manager, that allows users to sort through their files and remove the ones that they no longer need. In addition, it has a quick sensor toolbar.
