Considering the plenitude of news apps, it's only normal that developers try to make their applications stand out by implementing a creative design and interesting layout to make interfaces more appealing. Developers from Yahoo did just that with their news feed app. It opens with a tutorial and features neat animation during the loading screen.
There's no side menu and articles are features in a list, so you'll need to swipe the screen down or left to browse through content. The UI isn't spectacular, but it manages to surprise you with minor details like the progress bar at the bottom of the screen, displaying how many articles you've read since launching the app.
Adjust the app to your preferences
Before you can explore the app's features and sections, you'll need to tweak settings to make sure it meets your preferences. You can choose from four news editions, United States, United Kingdom, Canada or the international edition.
Have the app provide you with notifications twice a day, at a certain hour in the morning or evening. However, the app doesn't let you change font size or style for articles and doesn't download content for offline reading.
Browse through various articles
The app lets you read the top articles of the day, gathered from various news agencies around the world. Each article comes with a legend, featuring an image gallery, an infographic, a map, statistics and videos if that is the case. You can also check Twitter reports or Wikipedia entries on the matter.
Other than that, users may share articles or check references for each report. There's also a section with short articles on less important events around the world. Users can check articles from up to 4 days ago, read and share them on social networks.
